With the recent hurricane, we have learned a lot and are not afraid to share our success and failures. The reason is simple. We had over 6500 wood fence stretched out from the eyewall to the East Coast. Out of those fences, only six sustained anytime of damage, less than one-thousandth of one percent. Three of wood fences were the victim of trees. One of those fences prevented a tree from falling on the house. You got to love shelf top wood fence. Two were 10 plus years or older fences whose gate posts snapped due to premature rotting and one that had some seam separation. The good news was the rotting posts were covered by manufacturer warranty and the seam separation by our craftsmanship warranty.
So what we have learned is our method of building wood fence works. Before making a decision on replacing that wood fence, read the wood buyers guide.
